 What is it?The Commuter Challenge is an exciting event that compares the traveling time between a car and bicycle. This friendly "race" requires a cyclist and car driver to begin from a common point (of their choosing) and end at Starbuck’s Coffee at Fort & Blanshard Street – (see google map) between 7:45-8:15am, to a cheering of a crowd of enthusiastic supporters!  Media coverage is a big part of this event.

This year the Commuter Challenge will help to promote Bike to Work Week.  There will special prizes and FREE!  Starbucks Coffee!  Fourteen teams have already registered to participate including Olympic athletes & local media!
