An avid commuter cyclist, for many years he cycled 42 kilometres a day from and to his home in Langford and his office in James Bay. Marsha Petty-Johnson:
Bike to Work Skills Course Coordinator
marsha@biketowork.ca

Marsha started working with BTWV in 2005 coordinating the Bike Skills Courses and in past years has worked as event coordinator for Bike to Work Week. She comes from a cycling background both cycle touring and racing in Triathlons and half- ironman. The most enjoyable aspect of the job to her, is hearing the stories of new riders and how biking has impacted their lives. She is excited about the Kids CanBike Course that she has been instrumental in adjusting and running for grade 7 students.

Claire Clarke:

In April 2011 she was awarded the BC Recreation and Parks Association Student Scholarship in recognition of her leadership in the parks and recreation sector.
Claire has recent experience in community event planning and outreach management with BC Hydro, in addition to having directed numerous fundraising campaigns at the University of Victoria.
Claire is an avid commuter cyclist and has been an enthusiastic team leader during Bike to Work Week Victoria. She has even coined the catch phrase “Every week is Bike to Work Week”!

Lisa Hobden:

Bike to Work Prize Coordinator
lisa@biketowork.ca

As an active living and active transportation enthusiast, Lisa is excited to be working with the Greater Victoria Bike to Work Week Society. A recent graduate of the Education program at the University of Victoria, Lisa’s event planning experience comes from working two great summers for the Kaslo Jazz Etc. Music Festival and one (great summer as well!) for the Victoria Dragonboat Festival Society. While Lisa is new to cycling, having gotten her first "adult" bike in 2011, she loves the feeling of freedom and joy that comes with it. To her, there is nothing better than a beautiful sunny ride by the ocean.

Lisa Hobden:
