Friday BTWW 2012 Wrap Up
Wow, what a Morning…. 126 cyclists signed in this morning, the weather cooperated with rain in the early early morning before the event. Please remember to total your Teams Km’s and enter your Team’s results.
We heard a few stories from some Teams where team participants gave a lot of effort… a fellow from Nature’s Fare, cycled each day from Summerland. Apparently two years ago, was his first ride, the year it rained, and to boot, he had bike troubles on the highway. With encouragement, he gave this year another try, and though we did not see him at the Celebration Station, I did happen to see him cycling to work. Way to go, for hanging in there. There were also a number of first time cyclists, and participants renting bikes who had not cycled in years. What enthusiam and Congratulations for motivating yourself to participate - Great Team Effort!!
Thursday Celebration Station
What a great turnout again today.. being that we are at the other end of the City…Thank you to all the cyclists who ventured our way and to the Oasis Church for the use of their grounds and allowing us to get the coffee ready on time… thanks Phil. 65 Cyclists turned out today and we all got the opportunity to view the Draft Cycling Plan and meet the people behind the scenes.
