Wow, what a Morning…. 126 cyclists signed in this morning, the weather cooperated with rain in the early early morning before the event. Please remember to total your Teams Km’s and enter your Team’s results.
We heard a few stories from some Teams where team participants gave a lot of effort… a fellow from Nature’s Fare, cycled each day from Summerland. Apparently two years ago, was his first ride, the year it rained, and to boot, he had bike troubles on the highway. With encouragement, he gave this year another try, and though we did not see him at the Celebration Station, I did happen to see him cycling to work. Way to go, for hanging in there. There were also a number of first time cyclists, and participants renting bikes who had not cycled in years. What enthusiam and Congratulations for motivating yourself to participate - Great Team Effort!!
What a great turnout again today.. being that we are at the other end of the City…Thank you to all the cyclists who ventured our way and to the Oasis Church for the use of their grounds and allowing us to get the coffee ready on time… thanks Phil. 65 Cyclists turned out today and we all got the opportunity to view the Draft Cycling Plan and meet the people behind the scenes.
Another great morning - with 112 cyclists signing in and enjoying Cherry Hill Coffee, Nature Fare Tea and The Bench food.
Big Thank you to Perrin Orthodontics for use of your lawn.
Also a big thank you to our volunteers who are coming out each morning to help with set up at 5:30 and with the morning duties. WIthout you, where would we be.
Another great morning, with 114 cyclists visiting the Celebration Station on the corner of Carmi and Government. Big thank you to the First Baptist Church for letting us use their grounds and to plug in for coffee preparation. A few cyclist had trouble finding the location but with determination hung in there and rolled in with a smile.
There were over 130 cyclists registered today for the BTWW Kick off Breakfast! The weather was beautiful, delicious food and coffee was enjoyed by all, a few visited the The Bike Barn tent and the Freedom bike shop tent for bike attention, and a number of cyclist got a sneak preview of the draft cycling plan and there were even a few prizes won!!!!
