Events Schedule for Bike To Work Week 2013
Sunday May 26
Qualicum Beach Family Day
Parade – Starts at 12:00 Noon near the Qualicum Beach Fire Hall and travels up Second Avenue past crowds that line the street to the Civic Centre Fields.
Civic Centre Fields – From 1:00 to 4:00 we will have an area set-up on the Fields which will offer:
- safe and secure Bike Parking
- Information and Sign-Up for Bike To Work Week events.

Bike To Work Week Commuter Event
Register your Team for this event and be entered in a chance at amazing prizes donated by local businesses
Monday May 27 - Friday May 31
Bike To Your Local Coffee Shop
Register your Team for this event, receive a discount off your food/drink order and be entered in a chance at amazing prizes donated by local businesses
Monday May 27 Safe Cycling Course
Time: 12:30 - 2:30 Parksville Curling Rink Parking Lot. Hone up on your cycling skills by taking a short refresher course. Information and registration on the Bike To Work Week website.
Tuesday May 28 Ride with the Mayor and Town Council of Qualicum Beach
Time: 4:00 p.m. at the Town Hall
Join Mayor Westbroek and Town Council members on a ride on some of the Recommended Cycling Routes in Qualicum Beach
Wednesday– May 29 – Ride with The Mayor and City Council of Parksville
Time: 4:00 p.m. at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre parking lot.
Join Mayor Burger and City Council members on a ride on some of the Recommended Cycling Routes in Parksville
Thursday - May 30 - Bus-Bike-Car Challenge
Time: 7:30 Qualicum Beach Civic Centre Parking Lot. Challenge other cyclists and commuters to compare the cost and travel time of the 3 modes of travel during a typical short commute from Qualicum Beach to Parksville. Information on the website.
Friday - May 31 Safe Cycling Course
