Bike To Work Week 2011 in Cowichan
At Cycle Cowichan we’re getting geared up to put on Bike To Work Week Cowichan 2011. This will be the Cowichan Valley’s fourth year of participating in this week-long event taking place this year from May 30th to June 3rd.
For those folks who already ride, Bike To Work Week is a great time to celebrate together. For those wanting to start riding more, it’s the ideal way to make that commitment to begin.
During Bike To Work Week, morning Celebration Stations are set up in town to greet riders on their way to work. This is an opportunity to meet other riders, enter for draw prizes and have coffee and snacks before work. At the end of the week we celebrate together with cake and prizes.
On May 7th we will be launching the campaign to sign up riders with a group ride and public event. Come join us in the Beverley Corners parking lot at 9:30am, on Saturday, May 7th to get your free T-shirt and join in the ride.
Once you’re energized by the camaraderie of other riders, the next step is to put together a team. Get your co-workers to join you, select a team leader and get yourselves signed up.
If you work on your own or can’t rally any of your co-workers, make sure you still sign up. The more people that sign up the more fun it is and there are always tons of great prizes to win.
Details about signing up will be posted here on the website as well as more information about sponsors, prizes, celebration stations and the wrap-up event. See you at the launch on May 7th.
Visit the Cycle Cowichan website at www.cyclecowichan.ca and sign up for free to be on the distribution list.
