2010 - June 1, 2010 is Bike to Work With Executives Day

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 has been declared “Bike to Work with Executives Day.” ACAG is challenging all Fraser Valley executives to ride their bike to work on Tuesday, June 1 and encouraging employees to join local leaders while they are on-route.

Flat Repair and Safety Clinic offered by Outdoor Addictions

On Wednesday May 19 staff from the VIHA Public Health Unit participated in a Flat Repair and Safety Clinic facilitated by Dan Clements of Outdoor Addictions. Why you ask? They are getting ready for this year’s Bike To Work Week, May 31-June 6. At this clinic they learned how to change a flat tire, the essentials for riding to work and how to do a pre-ride safety check on their bikes.

2010 - Cycling4Fun this Wednesday, May 26 is The Need for Speed at Mission Raceway Track

Join us on Wednesday, May 26 for Cycling4Fun’s The Need for Speed at the Mission Raceway Track. Prior to this ride, you’ll learn about the proper techniques for turning and braking, how to avoid falling, and more… when cycling fast. The 1-hour ride to follow will be a fun, fantastic workout! Come and challenge yourself on the track!
