Goals for 2009
Bike to Work BC anticipates 13 BC communities will host Bike to Work Week in 2009 representing a 23% increase in participation throughout BC. An estimated 18,422 total cyclists including 4,450 new riders are expected.

Bike to Work Week is a highly successful program in encouraging people to engage in commuter cycling. Originating in Greater Victoria, the fourteen year old program is expanding throughout BC and now includes official BTWW events in:
In 2008, Bike to Work Week was officially organized in ten BC communities netting 14,887 cyclists, including 3,515 new riders (23% of total participants). This represents 87% of Bike to Work BC’s anticipated goal of 17,005 cyclists, Province-wide by 2010.
